Work At Home Typing
You also do want to wait several weeks or months to find out if the keywords you selected are drawing in business. Then you do not have time to analyze and evaluate your websites keywords using the sophisticated tools and methods most SEOs suggest, if you are like me.
You can quickly setup a new Google account, otherwise. You can go to the Google web site and sign-in with that account, if you already have a Google account. The quickest and easiest way to determine how your keywords will perform is to run a short Google Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertisement.
Enter a campaign name and leave the location as the default (unless you run a localized business and it makes sense to display the ads only in your city). Go to the Campaigns tab and click New campaign, after signing in.
Then certain keywords may not be eligible, if you set your daily budget too low. But some keywords cost several dollars per click, you are only charged when someone clicks the ad and visits your web site. You want this to be between $5 and $10 USD. You can leave the other settings as their default values and just enter an amount you are willing to spend each day.
So you can get a good idea of which keywords are performing best, i suggest that you run your ad for at least a week. Or it will keep running indefinitely and may rack up some hefty fees if you forget to check on it, make sure you specify an End Date for your campaign, in the Advanced Settings section.
The next two lines tell the person what to expect when they click your Ad and the last line is the URL to your web site. Use a phrase or words from your actual keywords. The first line is the headline and this needs to be something catchy that compels the person to click your Ad. You will want to create a text ad and this gives you four short lines to work with. You specify what the actual advertisement will look like, in the next step.
You may need to edit this amount if most of the keywords you selected are ineligible (you will find this out after running your campaign). Set this as half of your overall daily budget, for starters. But high enough so that all your keywords are still eligible, the CPC should be an amount less than your overall daily budget. You will also need to specify a maximum cost per click (CPC) for Search. Put each keyword on a separate line. The Ad group is where you specify the keywords you are want to use on your web site.
You can watch this as your campaign progresses and make any changes you think are necessary. Your Dashboard will display a quick overview of how your campaign is doing in the Campaign Performance section, each time you login to the Google AdWords interface. You can wait a day or two for it to start generating data, once your campaign is created.
This tells you which of your keywords performed best or had the highest number of clicks. You will want to look at the Keyword Performance section, at the end of your campaign. Which is called the impression, which shows the number of times your Ad is clicked divided by the number of times it is shown, your goal is to have a high Clickthrough rate (CTR).
Keep doing this until you feel secure with the keyword list you have chosen. Discard any keywords that failed to get any clicks and consider doing another campaign round to test some alternative keywords. The keywords with the highest CTR value are the ones you want to use. You can assume that people clicking your Ad are the ones most likely to buy your product or service.
Give it a try and add a comment to let everyone know how it went for you. This effective strategy is the best way to quickly determine whether you have selected keywords that will drive the most traffic.
